Now let's get started with the MOM drawing
step by step drawing tutorial.

Graffiti Bubble Letters Mom Part 1:

Begin drawing the word mom by carefully marking out your letters on a piece of paper with pencil. The letter should be slightly spaced apart.

Graffiti Bubble Letters Mom Part 2:
In this step we will convert the line letters into bubble letters. Carefully draw an oval around each part of the letter M and draw a circle around the O and then a smaller circle inside the middle of the O. It is okay to let the letters overlap slightly. Remember to draw lightly as you will be erasing much of these lines later.

Graffiti Bubble Letters Mom Part 3:
Using a black marker carefully outline the shape of your bubble letters. Notice how the letter M overlaps with the letter O end in the letter O overlaps the final M. You have now created the basic bubble letters.

Graffiti Bubble Letters Mom Part 4:
One of the effects commonly found in graffiti style letters is a drop shadow the effect. Now to create a drop shadow effect simply duplicate the edge of the letters slightly off to one side. in this example we have created the drop shadow to the left and slightly below the original bubble letters. You can cast your drop shadow to the right, to the left, above, or below as you see fit.

Graffiti Bubble Letters Mom Part 5:
Begin coloring your bubble letters by marking the edge of the letter and then filling from the bottom with upward strokes. The edge created here will become part of the highlight on the edge of the letters.

Graffiti Bubble Letters Mom Part 6:
Continue to fill in your letters by using a lighter color to work your way along the top and then also to fill in the spaces from the bottom. If you get stuck, the video at the bottom of this page will help you understand the steps more clearly.

Graffiti Bubble Letters Mom Part 7:
In this step we have come in with a lighter peachy color to fill the upper center areas of the letters. We've also filled in the drop shadow with purple. After filling in the drop shadow with purple, use diagonal lines to create a shading affect on the drop shadow.

Graffiti Bubble Letters Mom Part 8:
To further develop your graffiti style bubble letter design you can add an outline to the entire design. Below you can see how this design was outlined with purple and then the space was filled in with pink.

Graffiti Bubble Letters Mom Part 9:
You can also add a background to your design this graffiti cloud with stars helps to complete this design. Now why not draw one for your mom, I'm sure she will love it.
